Helios Foundation is proud to support CliPeDia, an innovative project that transforms how students learn science through interactive digital tools. This forward-thinking initiative makes scientific knowledge more accessible and sparks curiosity among young learners.
Founded in 2015 by Marc Haelterman, professor at the École Polytechnique de Bruxelles and Solvay Brussels School (ULB), CliPeDia offers free science and math resources online. Created for students aged 12-18, their teachers, and parents, the platform features educational video capsules that make complex concepts easier to understand.
What’s the goal? To make science accessible to all by using digital tools and supporting the flipped classroom method, where students learn concepts at home and practice in class. With over 10 million views and a growing community of 125,000 subscribers, CliPeDia is already helping thousands of students succeed in science.
The Helios Foundation supports CliPeDia because we believe in quality education and developing critical thinking through science. With our support, CliPeDia will:
✔️ Create more content covering all science and math subjects taught in secondary schools
✔️ Build a better platform with self-testing tools and online exercises
✔️ Reach more students, especially in developing countries where quality learning materials are hard to find
In today’s world of climate change and rapid technological advances, understanding science matters more than ever.
CliPeDia moves beyond traditional teaching by offering an immersive learning experience with animations, virtual experiments, and historical context. The goal is simple: get young people excited about science and stop the growing trend of students avoiding these crucial subjects.
By supporting CliPeDia, Helios Foundation continues its commitment to backing creative projects that improve education and scientific understanding.
